We are so pleased that we went with Bugbee's DJ Plus for our wedding on 6/24/17! Greg was absolutely wonderful to work with! He immediately put us at ease as soon as we started talking to him about the reception. He took the extra time to create the perfect uplighting color for us as well! He was an integral part of our wedding and kept our guests on the dance floor all night long! We can't say enough great things about Bugbee's DJ Plus and we would definitely recommend them!

There really should be more than five stars! Greg Bugbee made our reception absolutely flawless! He was there early, scoped everything out, was able to make sure that my husband and I knew exactly what was going to happen before time, kept everything flowing perfectly and made this night the dream come true for our daughter and her new husband. 

Greg made sure that everyone was able to enjoy everything, that the tables were dismissed in an orderly fashion for the buffet, that all of the special dances were entered into seamlessly, and that everything ran like a well oiled machine until the very end.

Miranda, Greg's daughter, was extremely good at running the Photo 
Booth, getting people into the mood for posing, suggesting props from her large supply, having people sign on the pictures that she was putting in a book that Leigh Anne and Jeremy were able to take with them when they left the reception!

My husband even said during the first 15 minutes of the reception, "I don't know what we paid him (Greg) but he was worth double!" THAT is the kind of DJ/MC everyone should have at their event. Someone that takes their job very seriously but is so good at it and enjoys it so much that you forget they are actually working!

It's so tough to summarize how amazing Greg is and what an amazing impact he had not only on our wedding, but also on our wedding planning process. 

Planning: Greg was always responsive and supportive via email. He met with us prior to the wedding and we talked for a long time about our vision and got to know Greg's style. He is very organized and his timeline was incredibly helpful for planning our day. Vendors and guests alike commented on how professional and lovely he is. 

Pricing: I was not able to find a more reasonably priced DJ in Illinois that also provided quality service. Bugbee's is so competitively priced, I don't know how they aren't booked every weekend from now until the end of time!

Day-of: Greg did a wonderful job managing my LARGE list of songs for the small period of time. He checked in with me to see if there were specific songs I was anticipating or if a request should be approved. He was the perfect mix of present without being overbearing. I can't imagine a better experience for the dancing and cocktail hour.

Accommodating: The day before our wedding we realized that we were going to be able to have our ceremony outside. We also discovered that our plan for just playing two songs on a little speaker was not going to cut it. I asked Greg less than 24 hours in advance if he would mind adding on some time so we could have him play our ceremony music. He didn't make a fuss at all. He got to work preparing and he showed up early and ready to go. This man is just so wonderful. If you meet him or work with him and don't want to hug him every minute, you may be a robot.

My wife and I had our dream wedding reception and Greg Bugbee and Bugbee's DJ Plus were one of the main reasons why. We cannot recommend them highly enough. They were AMAZING. 

First off, Greg is INCREDIBLY responsive and timely with emails, phone calls and all communications. Greg's rates were among the best and most competitive in the area. And Greg is just a kind, friendly and fun guy to be around. We were just so impressed by Greg's professionalism, reliability, vast experience and commitment to detail.

Greg was not only our DJ and Emcee but helped us think through and plan our entire reception to make sure the event would go smoothly and cater to the different types of people we'd have at our wedding, dancers vs non-dancers, drinkers vs non-drinkers, old vs young, etc.

In our first meeting, he came incredibly prepared and has done SO many different types of events that he was able to answer every question and help us think through a lot of the complexities of executing a wedding reception. I remember turning to my then-fiance about 15 minutes into our meeting and telling her, "this guy is AMAZING."

And throughout the whole planning process, it was clear to us that Greg's priority was making sure that every single guest had a great time at our wedding reception.

And that was exactly what happened.

Greg somehow managed to appeal to every demographic at our reception: our elderly relatives from Asia, the young clubbing-types, the more conservative non-drinkers/non-dancers, kids and everyone in between.

Throughout the weeks after our reception we kept hearing variations of this:

"Who was that DJ guy? He was amazing!!"

Many of our friends and family said it was the most fun they've had at a wedding reception.

So in conclusion, we are so happy to write this review because we hope that many engaged couples will have a chance to work with Greg and his amazing team. We seriously cannot recommend them more highly and if you don't believe us, just meet with them once and we are pretty sure you will be convinced. 

I couldn't have asked for a better dj through Bugbee's DJ Plus working with Greg! From the minute my husband and I met him, I knew we were working with a professional. He approached us and our event with such care and we could tell he was incredibly genuine and putting his everything into our special weekend. The planning was phenomenal to be sure it was a perfect day for us, and come the day of, Greg truly set the tone for the reception. I had so many people approach me throughout the reception that this was the best dj they have heard. Bugbee's will treat you and your event like it's their absolute own.

We could not have been more pleased with our service from Bugbee's DJ Plus. Greg was fantastic and kept the events moving throughout the night. He had excellent music selections. We had great communication before the wedding and he really wanted to get to know what we liked so he could help make our night perfect. The up-lighting was was beautiful and perfect. We also opted for a monogram and Greg had us choose our monogram and brought the equipment to display it. We had nothing but compliments regarding him being our MC, everyone was amazed at how well everything flowed throughtout the evening. Our photographer and caterer were beyond pleased with the flow as well. I would highly recommend Bugbee's DJ Plus to anyone planning and event.
